Restoring natural beauty of hardwood doors

We stripped the existing opaque coatings which were starting to fail. Repaired some small areas of damage and sealed open joints with dark CT1. After a throrough sanding with 120 grit abrasive discs on a palm sander we bruished off all the dust and applied the first coat of Sikkens Cetol HLS 010 Walnut. When this was dry we carried out addtional making good with coloured fillers and sealants to remove minor blemishes. A light sanding down was followed with a second coat of Sikkens Cetol HLS 010. When finished we will have applied 4 coats which gives a high level sheen and should last many years.
